Roman period villa in the city of Russi
The Roman Villa of Russi (8000 m2), dates back to the 1st and 2nd century. A.D., it is one of the best preserved rustic villas of the Roman age in northern Italy. Rediscovered in 1939, only the floor plan of the house remains, the mosaics of the floors are perfectly visible, all preserved in excellent condition.
The "Art, History and Gastronomy" initiative by ArkeoGustus® takes off, aimed at children, adolescents and families: it is divided into ten appointments at the three museum locations where events, thematic visits and educational workshops will be linked to promotion and knowledge of ancient gastronomic traditions.
ArkeoGustus® through experimental and experiential archeology intends to promote archaeo-gastronomy thanks to the proposal of ancient recipes recovered after a long study of historical sources and reworked for modern palates.
All activities will be preceded by an introduction to the places by the educational services of the respective museums.
