BRITNEY SPEARS
The Queen of Pop is Britney Jean Spears, born on 2 December 1981 in Louisiana. From an early age she dreamed of becoming a singer, singing the hits of the moment in front of the mirror.
Her parents supported her in this ambition and, to keep her at bay, enrolled her in the local church choir, which, needless to say, was a waste for a talent as immense as hers.
Later, when she was only eight years old, she auditioned for the Disney Channel for the Mickey Mouse club programme, for which Britney was too young, so she was destined to be rejected, but fortunately she was taken under the protective wing of one of the producers who referred her to a prominent New York manager.
The latter, noting the child's innate talents, decided to refine her talent by making her study singing and dancing for the next three years. Meanwhile, between small parts in television commercials or appearances in Broadway shows offered, the little girl did not stop for a moment; and at the age of eleven, she managed to become part of the Disney Channel, where she would stay for about a year.
After her stint on the TV channel was over, Britney Spears found an opportunity to demonstrate her singing skills to the executives of 'Jive records' who were extremely impressed, and it was from that moment that the global launch of Britney, the seductive babe who aggressively sings easy-going songs, began.
Eric Foster and Max Martin, were the ones who shaped her and also produced her first, best-selling album
"Baby One More Time':
which was preceded by the single of the same name, which became famous for its video in which a Britney as a captivating schoolgirl performs her usual dance routines; in no time at all, the album reached number one in the American charts and then doubled as an abysmal success in Europe.
Britney Spears became the most famous teenager in the world and launched an iconic style and behavioural model imitated by millions and millions of female peers.
Be that as it may, his second CD followed the example of the first by creating the famous tracks such as:
'Oops!... I did it again':
The release of her third album, 'Britney', represented a decisive turning point in her evolution, presenting us with a more mature Britney Spears with a more biting and sophisticated voice; at the age of 23, in September 2004, Britney married dancer Kevin Federline in a private ceremony, and then in April 2005, the pop star let the world know that she was going to become a mother.
On 14 September 2005, Sean Preston Federline was born, then her second child, Jayden James, arrived on 12 September 2006;
It was not long before the singer filed for divorce from Federline and custody of the children.
After a turbulent period she returned more fierce than ever in 2007 with the album
'Blackout':
which sold - until October 2008 - more than 5 million copies worldwide. The new success seems unstoppable also thanks to the new album 'Circus', released towards the end of 2008.
In 2011, she released her seventh unreleased album:
Femme Fatale:
which debuted at NUMBER #1 on the Billboard 200; thus entering the Guinness World Record: in fact, Britney is the first artist to have seven albums in the top two places in their first week of release!
