THE NIGHT OF THE WITCHES

Every year in San Giovanni in Marignano a moment full of magic, mysteries and influences on things, animals and people is celebrated.

This moment is also called The Night of the Witches.



On this night we live a magical moment because it falls on the solstice days when, according to an ancient one belief, the sun marries the moon and beneficial energies pour into the earth from its marriage.


Legend has it that in this astral period the steghe gathered to finish their spells.

These witches were young women who, to help the sun rise, gathered in the fields and lit fires.



There are five days of shows in which you can also stroll through the streets of the village where you can taste the typical local products offered by the magical market and at the same time you can taste the food and wine proposals of the restaurants.
