SWIMMER'S FOUNTAIN

The Swimmer's Fountain located in front of the Palazzo del Turismo.

It was donated by the Milanese Manicone family who were very attached to Riccione.



Inaugurated on June 15, 1958 in honor of the tragic loss of their son Franchito; a loss that pushed the family to organize the Adriatic swimming marathon for well over twenty years.

Franchito was the victim of a car accident while riding his motorcycle.

The construction of the fountain was possible thanks to the collaboration of the tourist board, all its collaborators and in particular the surveyor Augusto Cicchetti.

The fountain project was created by the architect Elio Monesi.
