Mare fuori is one of the series of the moment, it tells the story of various inmates and staff members of
the imaginary IPM – Juvenile Penitentiary Institute – of Naples.
The series is set in an imaginary juvenile prison,
inspired by the really existing Juvenile Penal Institute and located on the island of Nisida in Naples.
In reality, however, the scenes are shot at the Molo San Vincenzo, the naval base of the Navy of Naples.
In this photo we see Rosa Ricci and Totò in real life, the cameras off: Maria Esposito and
Antonio Orefice are engaged and their story was born while they were filming the second season.
They are another couple in life, but with a different bond: Nicolò and Domenico Galasso, who play Gaetano
Sannino (Pirucchio) and his father and are father and son in real life, which is why they are very similar.
Salvatore Ricci, the father of Rosa and Ciro, is actually the lead singer of Almamegretta, one of the most famous
bands on the Neapolitan neo-melodic scene. His real name is Gennaro Della Volpe, but known under the stage
name Raiz.
He has released 9 albums with Almamegretta, and has also released 4 as a soloist and has collaborated with Italian
artists, including Pino Daniele.
Many of the songs that we can find in Mare fuori episodes are signed by him or by the band he belongs to.
The song "‘O mar for" has become a true symbol of the spirit of the series and was written
by Matteo Paolillo, who plays Edoardo Conte.
The actor is also a singer, with the stage name Icaro, also a guest in Sanremo.
The first two seasons of Sea Out, "Sea Beyond," are now airing in more than 20 countries,
including the Nordic countries, Germany, Israel, and across Latin America on HBO Max.
