Ribano Castle

Ribano Castle was once a fortified curtis and in 1580 it passed to the Camaldolese monks, who turned the residence into a summer residence.

Following the suppression of the ecclesiastical orders, the monastery was expropriated and sold to private individuals until, after many vicissitudes, it came to the Savignano Vallicelli family.

Today, the castle is owned by Dr. Giovanni Colonna Prince of Paliano, nephew of Count Gianbattista Spalletti, and is home to an important winery that continues the ancient family tradition.
