Our Lady of the Sea?

-16/17 JULY-

Like every year on 16 and 17 July, our beloved Riccione celebrates this important feast day dedicated to Our Lady of the Sea; a religious and maritime tradition in honour of the Virgin Mary that trinnews the bond between our beloved city and its equally beloved sea.

To open the festivities on 16 July, the sailing of the historic boats of Romagna - Le Mariegole - is expected at 5 p.m., ready to give us emotions thanks to their colourful sails, including those of the splendid 'Saviolina', the boat that is the symbol of Riccione!

Then, on 17 July, the last day of celebrations, at 9.30 am, there will be the laying of the crown in honour of Our Lady of the Sea and the historic procession of the Saviolina and the rest of the boats present.

The Sunday will finally come to an end at the hands of the Holy Mass in the harbour square at 9.15 p.m.; and to follow as the last ever event, the unfailing fireworks display on the seafront
