NINA ZILLI
Nina Zilli is a pseudonym combining the name of her favourite singer, Nina Simone, with her mother's surname. In reality, her real name is Maria Chiara Fraschetta.
Maria, in her early days, was an insecure girl who had to fight against her self-esteem. You wouldn't know it to look at her today, would you?
The turning point came when she came second at Miss Liceo, and from there she developed a great self-awareness that made her go far!
Born in Piacenza on 2 February 1980 (Aquarius), she is one of Italy's best-loved singer-songwriters.
In the singer's CV there is no shortage of television appearances and love stories.
Music soon became a fundamental part of her life, but in the meantime she found the time to go and live abroad and graduate in Public Relations at the IULM in Milan.
Those who don't know her for music, however, will certainly know her as a judge on Italia's Got Talent, although in the past she has refused to participate as a judge for the X-Factor talent show.
She was also at Sanremo in 2012, finishing ninth with the song Per Sempre.
In 2015 with the song Sola (ninth) and in 2018 with the song Senza appartenere (17th).
At Sanremo 2020 she duets with Diodato, in the competition, on the notes of 24000 baci.
