MILAN EXPO

In 2015 the city of Milan hosted the Expo,  Universal Exhibition on Food in all its sides, from food education to lack of food. in some parts of the world.

Thanks to this event, the opportunity has been made possible to instill more awareness and also open a dialogue towards the debates of this period, GMOs; "genetically modified organisms".

The city of Milan has worked to host an event of this magnitude.

"Feeding the planet, energy for life", the theme revolved around food and nutrition.

Bringing this theme, it was possible to reason on several aspects:

-to ensure the right of all human beings to a fair diet,

-instilling knowledge to prevent food-related diseases,

-enhance the culinary traditions of different countries,

-question how to treat the environment so that it is more productive at the agricultural level, also finding new tools dedicated to soil care,

-spark a debate on new inventions, such as biotechnology.

137 countries and four international organisations took part in the event.

Expo 2015 Milan gave the opportunity to highlight Italy, which coordinated in the forefront of the organization.
