LADY GAGA
Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta (Yonkers, March 28, 1986), aka Lady Gaga, is an American singer-songwriter. She was born into an Italian American family, she grew up in Manhattan. At the age of seventeen she began studying music at the renowned Tisch School of the Arts at New York University; meanwhile, to support herself she works as a stripper and waitress in some clubs on the Lower East Side of Manhattan.
In 2007 she is under contract with the record label Interscope Records, for which she begins working as a songwriter, also working with artists such as Fergie and Britney Spears. Her vocal talent pushes the president of Interscope to offer him a contract as a singer.
So Lady Gaga begins to perform with her friend dancer and DJ Lady Starlight and with singer Akon. On April 8, 2008 she made her debut with the single "Just Dance" which reached the 2nd position in the charts in the States. Shortly thereafter, Lady Gaga's first album The Fame was released.
