HARRY STYLES
Harry Edward Styles was born on 1 February 1994 in Redditch in the Worcestershire region. Harry Styles is a British singer and actor who has become an iconic face of pop music within a decade.
With his parents Anne and Desmond and his older sister Gemma, Harry moved to Cheshire. Despite his parents' divorce, which took place when Harry was seven years old, he had a very pleasant childhood. Already as a child he delights in singing karaoke given to him by his grandfather. At the school he attended, he soon became the lead singer of the band White Eskimo, with which he won a regional competition. Harry followed his mother's advice and entered the auditions for the seventh edition of the X Factor programme, presenting his own version of Hey Soul Sister by the group Train. He made it to the bootcamp stage, but failed to continue and it was at this moment that Simon Cowell, the show's judge, made a life-changing decision for Harry Styles: he became a member of a band with four other aspiring singers. It was Styles himself who suggested the name One Direction. In early 2011, One Direction debuted with the single What Makes You Beautiful, which was a smash hit in both the UK and the US.
The One Direction adventure continued for about six years; in order to experience new environments, he left the band and chose to record the single Sign of the Times, which was released on 7 April 2017. His debut solo album was released a month later, recording a huge success and reaching number one in the charts in all Anglo-Saxon countries.
In July of the same year, Styles made his acting debut on the big screen in the film 'Dunkirk' by acclaimed director Christopher Nolan. Once he had completed his world tour from September 2017 until July 2018, Styles began to broaden his interests to include fashion, becoming a model for the Gucci brand.
In 2019, his second solo album Fine Line was released, featuring the summer hit Watermelon Sugar. Preceded by the single As it was, the third album Harry's House is released in 2022 and becomes the record with the fewest sales records broken during the year. During this period Styles starred in two major films, namely 'My Policeman' with Emma Corrin, as well as in his partner Olivia Wilde's film 'Don't worry darling' with Florence Pugh.
