Gianmarco Tamberi, nicknamed “Gimbo” or “Halfshave”, is an Italian altist (specialty: high jump), born on 1st June 1992 in Civitanova Marche.
In 2016 he jumps a new Italian record: 2.38m.
He won the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2020.
2022, wins the gold medal at the European Championships in Munich:
In the second round, Tamberi jumps 2.30m and beats Tobias Potye and Andry Protsenko, winning the title of European Champion 2022.
