CRICCA

Cricca is the stage name of Giovanni Cricca, born in Riccione (province of Rimini) on 8 August 2004. Thanks to his stories in Amici's school, we know something more about his still short but eventful life: son of two humanitarian workers who met in Africa, Giovanni moved to Sydney (Australia) at the age of five and it was here that he took his first steps in the field of music.
In Australia Cricca specializes in singing thanks to the Sydney Children's Choir, and also begins to play the piano. After three years he returns to Italy and experiences a period of loss: his great passion for music arrives punctually in his rescue and in the meantime he also begins to strum the guitar.

Over the course of his life, Cricca has held various jobs to support himself: from the waiter to the electrician to the lifeguard. In 2021 he participates in AreaSanremo, reaching the shortlist of 53 finalists. In 2022 he works at the Aquafan in Riccione and publishes the single "San Lorenzo", to then participate in Deejay On Stage.

Entered the Amici school in September 2022 as a competitor of the Lorella Cuccarini team, Cricca is the protagonist of a somewhat unusual path. From the beginning he appears as one of the most appreciated students of the public, but the teachers show some reservations. When he is challenged against Jore, he loses and leaves the talent. Not long after he returned to the competition in a completely unexpected way, challenging the singer Valeria Mancini: having won this duel, by popular acclaim he got back on track until the evening phase of the program was reached.

Clicca's return to the house allowed the boy to get close to the dancer and competitor Isobel Kinnear. A flirtation was born between the two, but it did not last long. The young man has two sisters: an older one, only on his mother's side and a younger one, Precious, a disabled girl that her parents adopted in Africa.
