BELLA
Our beloved "Bella" arrived from Slovenia with Love.
On the evening of March 9, 2018, while I was resting and scrolling through the Facebook pages, an article caught my attention:
A1 motorway, twenty-six puppies found crammed into a car. Investigations are made for mistreatment and illicit trafficking of animals
Unfortunately, the trade in fine puppies is a growing phenomenon, both of dogs and cats.
This trafficking of puppies is intense at certain times of the year such as near the holidays.
These kidnappings arise from joint actions between Polstrada and Noava: the special Operating Unit for the Supervisory Activity
Environmental of the Regional Forestry Corps.
How were these puppies found?
On 8 March two patrols subjected a Fiat Doblò to checks along the A1 motorway (near Barberino di Mugello), inside which 26 puppies of various breeds were found.
The puppies, all under two months of age, traveled without respecting the regulations for transporting animals: they were in
a single unsuitable iron cage and in the absence of the required identification microchip and documentation of
origin.
Some showed signs of suffering due to the difficult travel conditions.
With shining eyes I take a screen shot of the post and send it to my mom.
The next day we call to make ourselves available to take one of the puppies ...
We went to the kennel to make a donation of items to help the volunteers and to get news of the little ones, 6 of whom unfortunately were unable to survive for their young age, pneumonia, gastroenteritis and giardia.
After about 2 months, we managed to get her "Bella".
We immediately welcomed her with open arms and with her sweet face she brought us a lot of love.
