Aviation Museum - Rimini
The Aviation Theme Park located in the Rimini hills bordering the Republic of San Marino was inaugurated in 1995 and is still considered one of the most important realities in the sector, both nationally and internationally.
An area of over 100,000 square metres exhibits more than 50 aircraft from Italian and world history, important relics related to the sensory sphere of military aviation, photos and videos, testimonials, medals and models, small objects capable of conveying real emotions to aviation enthusiasts and not!
The Park is open all year round and is divided into multiple themed areas.
In addition to the outdoor exhibition, there is also a pavilion that helps visitors retrace the history of aviation by displaying flight suits, aircraft, helicopters, armaments, engines, cabins, photos, decorations and medals awarded to the likes of Mussolini and D'Annunzio, scaled-down aircraft models and rare period films. All absolutely original and with unique pieces.
Inside the Park is the Museum of Aeromodelling, which exhibits models that have won very special prizes and continuously organises events for enthusiasts such as meeting days or competitions of various kinds.
It is extremely interesting to note that most of the restorations and donations have been kindly 'donated' by enthusiasts and lovers of the sector, united under a single cultural association: 'Sulle Ali della Storia' promoted by the Park itself.
Further services offered by the Park include a bar, a comfortable refreshment area and a space dedicated to children. The facility is easily accessible to the disabled.
Guided tours are certainly organised and dogs are allowed.
