ACQUARIO DI CATTOLICA
The unique structure that now houses the Cattolica Aquarium was originally a large marine colony built in the 1930s with a curious and unusual shape that recalled the profile of a naval fleet; was inaugurated on June 28, 1934 as a marine colony "XXVIII Ottobre". The features of this building represent ships ready to set sail and for this reason the aquarium has taken the name "THE SHIPS".
In 2000, thanks to a scrupulous conservative restoration, it was completely renovated, becoming one of the most fascinating and spectacular marine parks on the Adriatic.
