Das Gesicht von Raffaella Carrà auf den 2-€-Münzen

The countries of the European Union can issue commemorative coins, to remember anniversaries, historical events or current events of particular importance. Next year (2023), Italy will mint a 2 € commemorative coin for Raffaella Carrà, the famous showgirl who passed away on 5 July 2021.


It is not the first time that something has been named after Raffaella, the seafront of Bellaria, the Rai production center in via Teulada, a square in Madrid and a book "RaffaBook" by Fabio Canino. A show on Rai in tribute to Carrà is scheduled for 2023, directed by Sergio Japino.
